Staff of the Fair Political Practices Commission will be holding an interested persons meeting on the regulations described below, which are scheduled to be considered by the Commission at its March 28, 2013 meeting. A draft version of these proposed regulations will be posted on this website for review approximately one week prior to the interested persons meeting.

Proposed Regulations:
(1) Amendment of Regulation 18701(a)(2), defining the term "consultant" for purposes of Government Code Sections 82019 and 82048.
(2) Adoption of new regulation 18701.4, implementing a test to define when a private entity is a de facto public agency and thus subject to the Political Reform Act, as considered in the Commission's opinion in In re Siegel (1977) 3 FPPC Ops. 62.
