This matter arose from an audit performed by the Franchise Tax Board’s Political Reform Audit Program. Yes on Prop. 30 – to Protect our Schools and Public Safety, a broad coalition of teachers, labor, business, law enforcement, and Governor Brown is a primarily formed ballot measure committee in support of Proposition 30 on the November 6, 2012 General Election. Rubeena Singh was the Committee’s treasurer. Governor Edmund G. Brown, Jr. was the controlling candidate. The Committee, Singh, and Brown failed to timely report two contributions of $5,000 or more, in violation of Government Code Section 85309, subdivision (d) (1 count).
