Listed below are the past Enforcement actions that resulted in fines approved by the Commission.
In the Matter of Ensen Mason for San Bernardino County Auditor-Controller/TreasurerTax Collector and Ensen Mason; FPPC No. 18/1150. Staff: Galena West, Chief of Enforcement and Dominika Wojenska, Associate Governmental Program Analyst. Ensen Mason was a successful candidate for San Bernardino County Auditor-Controller/Treasurer-Tax Collector in the June 5, 2018 Primary Election. Ensen Mason for San Bernardino County Auditor-Controller/Treasurer-Tax Collector is his candidate-controlled committee. The Committee and Mason failed to timely file three 24-Hour Reports, in violation of Government Code Section 84203 (3 counts). Total Penalty: $1,943.
In the Matter of Gloria Negrete McLeod Supervisor 2018, Gloria Negrete McLeod, and Gilbert L. McLeod; FPPC No. 19/1579. Staff: Angela Brereton, Chief of Enforcement and Dominika Wojenska, Associate Governmental Program Analyst. Gloria Negrete McLeod was an unsuccessful candidate for San Bernardino County Supervisor in the June 5, 2018 Primary Election. Gloria Negrete McLeod Supervisor 2018 was her candidate-controlled committee. Gilbert L. McLeod was the Committee’s treasurer. The Committee, McLeod, and McLeod failed to timely file two semi-annual campaign statements in electronic format, in violation of Government Code Section 84200 and San Bernardino County Ordinance Section 12.4311 (2 counts). Total Penalty: $827
In the Matter of Janice Rutherford for Supervisor 2018, Janice Rutherford, and Mondi Taylor; FPPC No. 19/1803. Staff: Jenna C. Rinehart, Commission Counsel and Soni Mangat, Program Specialist II. Janice Rutherford was a successful candidate for San Bernardino County Supervisor of District 2 in the June 5, 2018 Primary Election. Janice Rutherford for Supervisor 2018 was Rutherford’s candidate-controlled committee. Mondi Taylor was the Committee’s treasurer. The Committee, Rutherford, and Taylor failed to timely report accrued expenses on two preelection campaign statements and two semi-annual campaign statements, in violation of Government Code Section 84211 (4 counts), and failed to timely file a 24-hour report, in violation of Government Code Section 84203 (1 count). Total Penalty: $1,432 (Tier One & Two).
